We built this because of someone we love — and a community that needed a voice.

GenGuard365 started with a phone call we'll never forget. It grew into something we believe every senior and every family in this country needs.

The Founder Story — Full Version

Here's something most people don't know about financial fraud: it doesn't target the uninformed.
It targets the trusting.

Scammers — the sophisticated ones, and most of them are now — specifically seek out people who have built successful careers, who have worked hard, who have saved carefully, and who, somewhere in all of that, held onto the basic human belief that most people are decent.
Those are the people worth going after.
Those are the people with retirement savings, with home equity, with a lifetime of accumulated financial security.

An FBI supervisory agent said it plainly when asked about who his team was investigating:
"Doctors, lawyers, judges, pilots, engineers — very smart, intelligent people — have all fallen victim to this stuff."

We know this because someone we love came very close to becoming a statistic. She spent her career as a Vice President of a major bank — an executive with deep expertise in finance and a career built on understanding how money moves, where risk lives, and how to protect against it.

When a series of convincing messages arrived that appeared to come from legitimate financial channels, every professional instinct she'd sharpened over decades was tested.

It took a trusted person in her corner — someone who knew her, someone she'd trust — to help her see what was happening.
Most people don't have that person available at the right moment.

That's why we built GenGuard365.
My background is in family studies and social work. For years, I've advocated for children.
In Hawaii, I've learned what it means to care for our Kūpuna — our elders — with the same protective energy we bring to our youngest and most vulnerable.

I work with older women in my community who are generous, trusting, and kind. And because of that generosity and trust, they are targeted constantly. Hawaii is home to one of the highest concentrations of seniors in the country. The aloha spirit — the genuine warmth and openness that defines this community — is something scammers learn to recognize and exploit.
Our aunties and uncles deserve better.

Jennifer came to this work through her own community in Michigan — through conversations with credit union board members, through watching people she respected get caught in schemes that were designed to be uncatchable. She brings the organizational mind and the community relationships that turn a good idea into something real.
We are not a tech company.
We are not a government program.
We are two people who believe that every senior in this country deserves access to a clear, honest, trustworthy answer when something doesn't feel right — at any hour, on any day, without signing up for anything or explaining themselves to anyone.

GenGuard365 is that answer. We're glad you found us.

Our Mission

GenGuard365 exists to protect older adults and their families from financial fraud — through honest information, accessible tools, and a community built on trust rather than fear.

Dignity

Honesty

We never talk about seniors as though they are fragile, confused, or in decline. The people we serve are experienced, accomplished, and fully capable of protecting themselves — when they have the right information. We provide that information without condescension, without alarm, and without treating anyone like a number.

If we don't know the answer, we say so. If a message could go either way, we tell you that. We would rather give you an honest 'not sure' than a confident wrong answer.

Our Values - In Plain English

Every feature on this platform is tested with one question: could someone use this alone, in three minutes, without calling for help? If not, we simplify it.

Simplicity

Aloha

The Hawaiian tradition of caring for Kūpuna — our elders — isn't regional. It's a value we bring to every community we serve. Generosity and trust should be protected, not exploited.

Co-Founder

Christy holds a degree in Family Studies and has worked as a child advocate for 5 years. She has spent time living in Hawaii and has built deep connections with the Kūpuna community through various community organizations. Her background in social work and family advocacy shapes every decision made at GenGuard365.

Jennifer believes protecting older adults from scams starts with trust, compassion, and honest conversations — not fear. After years of working with community organizations, financial institutions, and advocacy-focused initiatives, she saw how quickly even intelligent, financially savvy people could become targets of increasingly sophisticated fraud schemes.
